School Board Approves Stone Haven Proffered Site for Bristow High School — The Prince William County School Board supported the community of Stone Haven in Bristow based on the new proffers that would provide land on which to build the 13th high school. [Bristow Beat]

STAFFORD, Va. — Get ready to pay more to use a Stafford County park.
The county’s Board of Supervisors voted to raise park fees for the first time since 2009. The higher fees are expected to net $160,000 in new revenue for the county.
Storms slammed into North Stafford area Tuesday night lighting up the skies and bringing drenching rains.
At 9:09 p.m., a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the eastern portion of Stafford County. However, dark skies formed over the area about an hour and a half prior to the first warning.
Prince William police are investigating a series of robberies.

Police have charged Alma L Davila, 24, of Lorton, with failure to maintain control of her vehicle in connection with the school bus crash.
