WOODBRIDGE, Va. — ST Billingsley, owner of Steve’s Auto Repair in Woodbridge, presented a plaque to Scott Farischon, a manager at Car Quest Auto in Woodbridge, recognizing him for his help repairing several school buses for the Greater Manassas / Prince William Boys and Girls Clubs.

While Billingsley’s automotive technicians did the work, Farischon and his company donated several air conditioning compressors, brake pads, and rotors. The auto parts were used to repair several “club” buses used to transport children to and from the Boys and Girls Clubs in Dale City, Dumfries, and Manassas.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — If you’re sitting in traffic on Interstate 95 and 395 this weekend, don’t count on any relief from the HOV lanes between Dumfries and the Pentagon. The lanes will close for ongoing work as they are being converted to express toll lanes.

Here’s the latest from the Virginia Department of Transportation:

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — The man who designed the newly opened golf course at Potomac Shores will pay it a visit on Wednesday.

Jack Nicklaus, who won 18 career championships and was the first golfer to ever win the Masters Tournament two years in a row, will visit the new course along the Potomac River near Dumfries. It will be a chance for him to inspect the layout, as well as take questions from golfers who might be curious to know what thought process led went into designing the course.

MANASSAS PARK, Va. — Weather-related damage to Signal Bay Water Park has been repaired and the pool will open on time this year.

Two cracks formed in the lazy river section of the water park, one at the handicap ramp and another near a walkway crossing, causing damage to a wall. The cracks were caused by weather deterioration over time.
