STAFFORD, Va. — With all of the fun to be had on Independence Day, dogs and pets with anxiety often get overlooked.

The sound of exploding fireworks can make some animals nervous, and that may cause some – especially dogs – to run away from home to escape the noise. That’s why stray dogs are a common problem this time of year.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — The balance of power and influence in Richmond’s General Assembly could shift away from Prince William County.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Police spent last week rounding up suspects in a wide-reaching narcotics ring in Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park.

A total of 68 people were arrested and charged in connection with drug offenses during an operation Prince William police dubbed “dragon slayer.” Targeting the distribution of prescription medication and heroin use, detectives executed 13 search warrants and conducted searches at six additional locations.
