WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On August 17, a female suspect told police that while she was meeting a male suspect to purchase marijuana, the male suspect robbed her with a handgun. According to the report, police discovered that the female suspect was lying about the robbery because after giving him the money, the male suspect didn’t give her marijuana; both were arrested.

GAINESVILLE, Va. – On August 19, a 25-year-old woman told police that after an argument, she was assaulted, thrown to the ground, and then choked by the male suspect. According to reports, there were minor injuries and the suspect was arrested.

MANASSAS, Va. –– The death of a 26-year-old man found stabbed to death in a dumpster appears to be gang related.
Two suspects are in custody and four more are wanted in connection to the death of Cesar Benjamin Contreras, of Manassas. Contreras’ body was found inside a dumpster in at the Colonial Village Apartments near Old Town Manassas about 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
MANASSAS, Va. — The wife of the late Manassas City Mayor and former Virginia Delegate Harry J. Parrish, and mother of the city’s current Mayor Harry “Hal” Parrish has died.
Mattie Parrish passed away last night. She was 93 years old and was described as a “pillar of the community” in a press release from the mayor’s office.
This summer, several teens in Manassas were given the opportunity to gain professional and hands-on experience in Fire & Rescue and Police work in camps run by the city.
These camps were free for students, with the help of the Manassas City Police Charitable Foundation, which paid for the cost of the camps, and helped students attend.
