Today, members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force were able to locate and arrest 34-year old Jorge Alberto Corea-Berrios – the suspect wanted in relation to the abduction and sexual assault of a Manassas woman.

The incident took place on April 11, at an apartment on Portwood Turn in Manassas.


When one solution to traffic congestion opens, another problem can appear.

In this case, a new backup has formed on Interstate 95 north on weekday mornings. Just before the entrance to the 95 Express Lanes, there is major congestion as drivers slow to read all of the signs warning them they need an E-ZPass to enter the toll lanes.


According to the State Board of Elections, Howell has received $165,738 in contributions this quarter. Stimpson has raised $46,135.

“The numbers are pretty one-sided. Howell has raised a lot more money than Stimpson,” said Stephen Farnsworth, professor and director of the Center for Leadership and Media Studies at the University of Mary Washington.


Moody’s Investors Service, a company that assesses bond credit ratings, has upgraded Stafford County’s bond rating from an Aa2 to an Aa1.

The higher a counties bond rating, the lower the cost to borrow money. This means that Stafford County will be able to borrow funds at a lower cost, which will save residents money.


Late in the evening on April 16, Prince William police responded to a call on Blazer Loop in Woodbridge to investigate a call for shots fired.

Prince William police stated that an investigation showed that the incident took place at an apartment building on Blazer Loop. Detectives were able to identify and arrest the suspects involved in the incident on April 28.
