There were some happy children who were anything but ornery, who went with police officers to pick out Chirstmas gifts and then to eat breakfast. It was all apart of the annual “Santa Cops” event in Prince William County.

Didlake Inc. will own and operate a new UPS Store at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center.
The store is the first for the non-profit that specializes in helping disabled residents find work. It is one of only six of 4,400 UPS stores in the U.S. that is owned and operated by a non-profit organization.
Single drivers who travel Interstate 66 inside the Capital Beltway during peak hours will soon pay tolls.
The Commonwealth Transportation Board today approved a measure that allows for the collection of tolls on that stretch of the highway starting in 2017.
Virginia environmental officials took questions Tuesday night from the public about a plan to treat toxic water and drain it into the Potomac River.
Residents who live near Dominion Virginia Power’s Possum Point Power Station outside Dumfries and across from Quantico say they’re fearful of the plan, which could lead to higher than normal levels of heavy metals in Quantico Creek and Potomac River that would flow downstream to the Chesapeake Bay.

Prince William police are investigating a robbery at a 7-Eleven store in Woodbridge:
Armed Robbery – On December 7th at 1:00AM, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 1701 Featherstone Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that two unknown men entered the business, brandished handguns and demanded money. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the business on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the men who were not located. The investigation continues.
