It is the Father Daughter Dance at the Manassas Park Community Center (MPCC) on Friday, June 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. An event like this is a great way to start a tradition in your family; similar to how it began in mine. You see, once upon a time, my husband and daughters signed up for the Father Daughter Dance.
Johnnie Pablito Kamara, 23, of Woodbridge Maryland was shot killed outside a Woodbridge nightclub early this morning.
Kamara was shot int he 3000 block of Golansky Boulevard. The shooting occurred at 2:20 a.m., about the same time the Babylon bar was closing and patrons were being pushed out of the business, said Prince William police spokesman Nathan Probus.

Apartment residents called Stafford fire and rescue crews when smoke trapped them inside their homes.
Fire crews were called at 8:20 a.m. Thursday to apartments at 202 Chesterfield Lane in the Stafford Meadows section of North Stafford. Crews used hoses to extinguish the blaze and ladders to the second and third floors to rescue the occupants, stated Stafford fire and rescue Battalion Chief Mark Doyle.
Police located Allison Mott. They report she is safe. Authorities said they could not disclose where she was found.
