The 12th Annual Manassas Wine & Jazz Festival is back on Sunday, June 19 from 12-7 p.m. on the Manassas Museum Lawn.

Senator Charles Colgan toured the newest high school in Prince William County this week.
The $110 million is the school is named after the retired 90-year-old senator, will include the county’s first in-school swimming pool and aquatics facility, and will open in September.

Prince William County leaders are again are exploring the possibility of privatizing the management of the county’s public library system.
Gainesville District Supervisor Peter Candland earlier this year called for a study to find out what would need to happen to convert library managers from county employees to agents working for a private firm. He said move could save county taxpayers up to $15 million over the next five years.
A new Dunkin Donuts store will open at the corner of Route 28 and Leeland Road in Yorkshire. It will be c0-located with the El Taco restaurant that has been in this location for years.

An effort to open up the Manassas City Parking Garage for the first time on July 4 fell flat this year.
Historic Manassas Inc., the city’s downtown promotional arm, was selling tickets for a rooftop party to take place on Independence Day. The event would coincide with the city’s annual fireworks show — the largest in the region.
