Reckless Handling of a Firearm | Shooting Investigation – On March 7 at 8:08PM, officers responded to the 6100 block of Popes Creek Pl in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived, they made contact with the victim, a 52-year-old woman of Haymarket, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers rendered immediate aid before rescue crews arrived. The victim was flown to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.

The 3rd Annual Historic Manassas Bridal Show is taking place on Sunday, March 12, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Center for the Arts at the Candy Factory. This free event is proving to be that the third times a charm for this growing event with a wide variety of 30 wedding-related vendors. WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Environmental officials on Tuesday said the EPA continues to investigate the release of 27 million gallons of water from a Prince William County coal ash pond in 2015.
Dominion Power, which owns the pond next to the Possum Point Power Station on the Potomac River near Dumfries, released the untreated water in April 2015. While the EPA is investigating this specific water release, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Northern Virginia Regional Director Tom Faha said discharged was allowed under the state-issued permit Dominion was using at the time.

On March 3, 2017, at approximately 4:42 PM, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report from a witness who had observed a white male urinating behind a business on Garrisonville Road, throwing beer cans out of his blue Chevrolet Silverado while driving into Doc Stone Commons. The witness observed the vehicle run a red light and drive over several curbs before parking illegally. The driver and a male passenger exited the vehicle and briefly entered the Lowes before picking up another male passenger and leaving the area westbound on Rt. 610.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A long-standing relationship between Virginia’s Department of Motor Vehicles and the Prince William County Voter Registrar could be coming to an end.
A voter registration office at the Woodbridge DMV Customer Service Center — an office in which the county does not pay rent to use — could be reclaimed by the DMV to make up for lost revenue.
