From Stafford County Sheriff’s Office:
On March 25, 2017, at approximately 8:20 p.m., patrol deputies responded to an assault in-progress outside a residence on Cynthia’s Place. While en route, patrol units were informed that a male was assaulting a female in the parking lot and had pointed a handgun at her head.
Several packages, delivered to a Corbett Circle address, were stolen from the front door step, on March 25, 2017. The merchandise was valued at $403. A neighbor had not seen anyone unfamiliar in the area. Advice on security cameras was provided to the victim.
Caller reported, sometime between March 24 and 25, 2017, while parked on Colburn Drive, a passenger side window of a Nissan was smashed. Nothing was missing, only searched through. The victim did not hear anything during the night.

The Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department held their annual awards ceremony on March 25 to recognize 49 civilian, volunteer and career members of the department for their outstanding work in 2016.

On March 23, 2017, at 11:45 a.m., Fredericksburg Motor Sports alerted the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office of a female who was attempting to purchase a UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) while using another person’s identity. Detective Ed McCullough and Detective Robert Firkin were assigned to the investigation.

A portion of the ramp from southbound I-95 to Dale Blvd (Route 784) will be closed the nights of Tuesday, March 28 through Friday, March 31 for tree clearing related to the ramp realignment project, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
HAYMARKET, Va. — The town of Haymarket will lease five new police SUVs and replace its current mismatched fleet of police cars.
The town will pay $149,390 for five 2017 Ford Police Interceptor Utility Vehicles that will be delivered all at once. A five-year loan from the Virginia Association of Counties, with about a 2% interest rate will be used to fund the new cars.
