Felony Child Neglect – On July 10 at 8:18p.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Gunsmith Terrace in Woodbridge to investigate a child neglect. A citizen reported to police that a 1-year-old boy was playing in the street unsupervised.

Malicious Wounding – On July 9 at 10:34 a.m., officers responded to an apartment located in the 1300 block of Eisenhower Circle in Woodbridge to investigate a domestic violence call. The victim, a 24-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated.
INDEPENDENT HILL — Twelve new blue signs mark the entrances to Prince William County’s first scenic byways.
The signs note the new street designation, featuring the state bird red cardinal, and were unveiled Tuesday morning at the intersection of Bristow and Joplin roads at Independent Hill. Six roads in all made the cut:
