MANASSAS — Representatives from People, Inc. is in talks with Manassas officials to build 31 new low-income homes.
The new homes would sit on 1.5 acres of land at 9511 Prince William Street, near Downtown Manassas. The land is the current home of an American Legion post.
GAINESVILLE — That didn’t last long.
Club Eclipse, the only under 21-club in Prince William County, will transition into a restaurant and live comedy venue in the coming weeks.

Fatal Crash Investigation – On September 29 at 2:14PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 9300 block of Brentsville Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a two vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 1997 Ford F350 was traveling westbound on Brentsville Rd when the vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and collided head on with the driver of a 2005 Ford Ranger who was traveling eastbound on Brentsville Rd. The driver of the 2005 Ford Ranger was eventually flown to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries on September 30. The driver of the Ford F350 was also flown to an area hospital with serious injuries. It is unknown at this time if speed or drug use are factors in this crash. Charges are pending. The investigation continues.

At 2:57 a.m. City of Manassas Fire and Rescue units responded to a two-alarm fire in the 9000 block of McRae Court. Upon arrival, units saw fire showing from a middle unit to the rear of the house. In total, fire damaged three town homes. Fourteen adults and five children have been displaced. Currently, the families are attempting to find shelter with friends and family. Fire Marshal Hartnett is on scene.

Traffic on Euclid Avenue in Manassas Park was rerouted this afternoon after a gas main sprung a leak.
Repair crews are now on the scene.
