Sheetz celebrates the holiday season with free coffee on Christmas Day

ALTOONA, Pa. December 19, 2017– Sheetz, one of America’s fastest growing family-owned and operated convenience store chains, is pleased to announce that they will again celebrate the holidays by offering customers a free cup of freshly brewed Sheetz coffee on both Christmas Day, from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m., and New Year’s, from 4 p.m. on New Year’s Eve until 4 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Guests can walk into any one of Sheetz’s 564 stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina and receive a free cup of coffee.

Suspect in South Stafford home burglaries apprehended

Stafford, VA.  A Stafford man was arrested on Friday by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a string of burglaries targeting prescription medication at residential homes in the southern end of the county.

Burglars hit House of Mercy charity, take cash

From Prince William police: 

Commercial Burglary – On December 17 at 9:01AM, officers responded to the House of Mercy located at 8170 Flannery Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed that around 8:12PM on December 16, an unknown male shattered the front glass door with a rock. The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash registered before fleeing the business on foot. The investigation continues.

Manassas leaders approve plan to add longer third traffic lane

Would a third lane move more traffic on Sudley Road in front of Novant Prince William Hospital?

Manassas City officials think so, as the plan to build a new third lane in this area has been on the books since 2000. Now, city planners will go back to the Commonwealth Transportation Board in Richmond to review some proposed changes for the $7.4 million project.
