DUMFRIES — Dumfries will celebrate its founding again after a brief hiatus.

The annual festival took off last year, but the festivities to honor Virginia oldest, continuously chartered are back return Saturday, May 12.


MANASSAS — Thousands packed the Manassas Regional Airport on Saturday for the Leaseweb Manassas Air Show 2018.

The show ran from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. and featured bi-planes, formation fliers, and the world’s only privately owned Sea Harrier Jet that stole the show when the plane took a bow for the crowded pack on the tarmac.

May 18 – 20 the City of Manassas and Historic Manassas, Inc. will be hosting an array of talented artists, performers and speakers in the Historic Downtown.  This three-day multi-media experience features a juried art competition, more than 50 performers, a film and photography portion, and a speaker series. 


MANASSAS — The seventh annual airshow being held at Manassas Regional Airport this Saturday has a new name, one that recognizes its largest sponsor: The 2018 Leaseweb Manassas Airshow.

That big sponsorship is good for the 15,000 to 20,000 spectators expected to attend the free show, which can only be seen on site.

On Saturday, June 30, Workhouse Fireworks will race skyward, illuminating the Northern Virginia landscape in an expertly-choreographed display of pyrotechnic light and thunder. This annual fireworks celebration kicks off a season filled with exciting art exhibitions, summer camps, outdoor concerts, and popular events including the Workhouse Brewfest craft beer festival (August 4) and Madhaunter’s Madhouse haunted trail (October).
