WOODBRIDGE — For those who love Panera Bread but are too busy to step inside to grab their sandwich, life just got a lot easier.

MANASSAS — (Press Release) Prince William Little Theatre presents the musical comedy 9 to 5, The Musical at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.  This show is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick. 9 to 5, The Musical is produced by arrangement with MUSIC THEATRE INTERNATIONAL.

Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic. It centers on the downtrodden working lives of three women, Violet (Jolene Vettese), Judy (Christine Laird), and Doralee (Laura Mills). Pushed to the boiling point, these three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss Franklin Hart (Joey Olson). In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy, and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy–giving their boss the boot. While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can’t she?

MANASSAS — Master police officer TJ Rodriquez spoke to students Tuesday about making an impact on the community and finding a purpose.

Drawing from his 20 years of experience in law enforcement, Rodriquez reflected on shifts in his career and life that led to his current position training new recruits for the Manassas City Police Department. He noted that life circumstances may change, but passion can always be present.

MANASSAS — A new Mediterranean restaurant called Strofi is coming to Manassas. It will open in the Shops at Signal Hill on Liberia Avenue, across from Aldi.

Strofi owners Lidiia and Benan Aksoylu are a married couple with a desire to bring authentic Mediterranean food to Manassas. Benan is Turkish and explained that gyro, while typically seen in Greek restaurants here in the U.S., has its roots in a popular Turkish street food known as döner. He and Lidiia want to bring that same authentic dish to Manassas.

STAFFORD — State officials are moving ahead with development at Widewater State Park.

Around since 2006, the park makes up most of a peninsula between the Potomac River and Aquia Creek. State Senator Scott Surovell (D-36, Fairfax, Stafford, Woodbridge) said that it was important to fund new staff positions at the park. The fight for funding was also led, in the past by former Delegate, now Stafford County Supervisor Mark Dudenhefer.
