Virginia State Parks are recruiting outgoing, adventure-seeking, hard-working people to serve as 2020 crew leaders in the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) program. A press release states:

Each summer, YCC engages 200 young people in state parks throughout Virginia, accomplishing projects such as trail maintenance, basic construction and beautification of the parks. Crew leaders manage these crews.


The Hylton Performing Arts Center opened in Manassas in 2010.

Eavesdrop Brewery has been issued a new license from the Virginia ABC to operate as a brewpub.

Prior to this licensing change, Eavesdrop was only able to offer its patrons craft beers with special occasions where they could serve wine, cider, and seltzer under a banquet license. 


On October 26, 2019, at 7:30 pm at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, the MSO, under the baton of Music Director, James Villani, will open its 2019-2020 season.
