Rising star Jessie Altman, named one of SPIN’s Top Emerging Artists, will perform live at Songbyrd Music House, located at 540 Penn Street NE in Washington, DC, on Thursday, July 23, as part of her 2026 summer tour. Known for her cinematic sound and emotionally driven vocals, Altman has amassed more than one million streams and is currently building momentum toward the release of her highly anticipated sophomore album this fall. Her latest single, “Barcelona,” is available now and offers an early glimpse into the new project.
The special performance will serve as a fundraiser for Volunteer Legal Advocates (VLA), a nonprofit organization that has harnessed the power of pro bono advocacy since 2008 to protect survivors of domestic abuse, uplift children, and ensure justice is within reach. Today, VLA provides critical legal support and compassionate advocacy to individuals and families across Washington, DC, and Montgomery County, Maryland. All ticket proceeds from the concert will benefit VLA and be matched to further support its mission.
Backed by her full band, a phenomenal group of some of Los Angeles’ top musicians, Altman will perform fan favorites alongside new music from her forthcoming album while sharing stories of the kind of love that is better than a fairytale. The special performance will feature guitarist Michael “Fish” Herring (Prince, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, New Kids on the Block), guitarist Mat Dauzat (Seal, Kelly Osbourne), bassist Larry “Flex” Williams (Christina Aguilera), keyboardist Alex Burke (Save Ferris, Billy Ray Cyrus), and drummer Dylan Elise (Blood, Sweat & Tears).
Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the all-ages event will conclude before the venue’s 11:00 p.m. curfew. Tickets are $21.89, including fees.
