Looking for a fun and educational way to spend your child’s day off from school? George Mason University invites families to Nanotechnology Day on Monday, October 12, from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at its Science and Technology Campus in Manassas.
This free, family-friendly event gives K-12 students and visitors of all ages a chance to discover how nanotechnology is shaping the world around us from medicine and energy to new materials and cutting-edge technologies.
Attendees can enjoy hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and opportunities to meet researchers while exploring the fascinating science at the nanoscale.
The event will also feature a series of 15-minute Short Science Talks designed especially for middle and high school students. With topics ranging from drug discovery and PTSD blood markers to next-generation memory chips and an AI-enabled wheelchair designed to navigate airports.
