Join us in making our homes and communities cleaner. Just in time for spring cleaning, Supervisor Boddye is partnering with Prince William County Public Works to bring dumpsters to Lake Ridge, making it convenient to dispose of old furniture, yard waste, and non-hazardous items. We’ll also accept glass recycling (cleaned bottles and jars), and items that are “too good to toss” through B-Thrifty’s “Project B Green.” Plus, we will have paper shredding and we’re partnering with Rollingwood Village to host a community cleanup.
No registration is required for Dumpster Day. Just show up with your unwanted items and we’ll take care of the rest. If you wish to help with the cleanup, register now to volunteer. Want to organize a cleanup in your neighborhood this Dumpster Day? Click here for tips.
Please note, we cannot accept the following items:
-Fuel tanks or drums
-Motor oil
-Household hazardous waste (this includes paint thinners)
-Electronics (dispose of these at the landfill on Wednesdays and Saturdays, free of charge)
-Antifreeze
-Pool chemicals
-Construction material
Appliances should be cleaned and emptied, including removing glass trays from microwaves. Doors should be sealed with tape. For more information on how to properly recycle and dispose of items in Prince William, call 703-792-5750 or visit pwcva.gov/department/solid-waste-management.
