WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Two major party candidates came to Woodbridge on Wednesday and worked to convince a handful of business owners why they’re the right choice for congress.
Incumbent Gerald “Gerry” Connolly (D-Fairfax, Prince William) and Republican Chris Perkins were the only candidates invited by the Prince William Chamber of Commerce to speak to members who live or work in Virginia’s 11th Congressional District, which includes portions of Fairfax and eastern Prince William County.

DUMIFRES, Va. — JoJo’s Ice Cream Shop could have a new owner by the end of the week.
Real Estate Agent Rich Juliano has listed the Dumfries institution on the market at $225,000. The roadside ice cream stand along Main Street will go to the right owner for the right price, said Juliano.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Two restaurants and a dentist office will open in the Potomac Festival Shopping Center across from Potomac Mills mall.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Several new stores and a jumbo television screen hoisted high above a street made its debut in Woodbridge this weekend.
Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center held its grand opening welcoming eight new restaurants and shops that are joining a Wegmans grocery store that opened it’s doors inside the shopping center four years ago.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Old Country Buffet in Woodbridge is getting a new look.
The restaurant is closed for renovations but plans to reopen Saturday, Nov. 3. When it does, hungry visitors will see changes to the interior of the eatery that include a streetscape design, a new food court, new paint and awnings, better salad and desert bars, and interactive custom menu options.

STAFFORD, Va. — A long awaited terminal building at Stafford Regional Airport will be one step closer to reality starting next week.
Officials at 5 p.m. Tuesday will break ground on a new 35,000 square-foot building that will become the hub of operations at the burgeoning airport which sits at the center of Stafford County. The ceremony at the airport will usher in a new era for an airstrip that has long served corporate and private jets, and small planes.
