Health officials in Prince William County want to talk to anyone who purchased food or drink at Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Gainesville.
A male store employee in his early 20s this week was diagnosed with hepatitis A, a virus that attacks the liver and can be fatal in rare cases. Anyone who purchased anything at the restaurant between 28 and August 16 is see their doctor.

Lomond Dr in Manassas, detectives from the Homicide Unit and investigators from the Fire Marshals’ Office are investigating this incident as an arson-related double homicide. One of the victims has been positively identified as a 17 year old male juvenile of Manassas.
The victim in Friday’s fatal fire in Manassas Park is Jerry Wayne Lusk, 73, of Luxor Street, according to a city fire investigator.
The man who died in a fire today while inside a single family home at 108 Luxor Street in Manassas Park lived alone.
Fire and rescue crews evacuated 62 children from a Minnieland Academy daycare center on Technology Drive.
A construction contractor working in the area struck a gas main, and that prompted the evacuation said Manassas Fire and Rescue Batallion Chief Mark Nary.

Fatal Crash Investigation – On June 24 at 4:06PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Occoquan Rd and G St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a two vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the operator of a 2006 Yamaha R1 was traveling eastbound on Occoquan Rd in the above area at an excessive speed when he collided with the driver of a 2014 Nissan NV2500HD van. The operator of the Yamaha R1 was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. Minor injuries were reported by the driver of the 2014 Nissan NV2500HD van. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in this crash. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The investigation continues.
