Police have confirmed the body found near Dumfries on Wednesday afternoon is that of a suicide victim.

Dumfries, Va. –– Police are on the scene of a body found near John Paul the Great High School near Dumfries.
The body was found by an officer who was issuing a parking violation Wednesday afternoon, said Prince William police spokeswoman Michelle Nemerow.
Few details have been released about the body, but police say it was found outside and could possibly be a suicide.
Officers have converged at an area near the high school on River Heritage Boulevard.
School has already let out for the day, said Nemerow.
