Robert Allen Hiner, 63, of Manassas, passed away suddenly February 13, 2014.
Born November 7, 1950 in Marlinton, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Norman and Orpha Endicott Hiner.
Allen was a logistics coordinator and worked for the United States Government for over 35 years. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and four wheeling, and was an avid hunter.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Jo Simmons. Survivors include five sisters, Jaunita Clifford and her husband Robert of Clayton, NC; Deloris Grim of Warrenton; Carroll Pryor and her husband Gene of Bumpass; Doris Plamp and her husband Ralph of Orange; Irene Hiner of Manassas; and nine nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, where a Celebration of Allen’s life will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with, with a reception in the funeral home community room immediately following.
Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
