Fire crews called to apartment blaze

Three people were displaced by the blaze, but none injured, say fire officials.

Fire crews found the fire was contained to one apartment and there was smoke damage to another. Crews worked to quickly douse the blaze, said Prin ce William Fire and Rescue Department Battalion Chief Joseph Robertson.

The cause of the fire was still being investigated, but it did cause $50,000 in damage to the complex.

Triangle, Va. –– Fire crews were called after 9:30 p.m. Thursday to a fire at 4120 Southway Lane in Triangle.

When firefighters arrived at the scene – an apartment complex of U.S. 1 – crews saw fire showing from the side of the building, according to a Prince William fire and rescue source.

No one was injured, and by 10:45 p.m. the blaze was said to have been doused.

No word yet on the cause of the fire, damages or how many people may have been displaced.
