Meet Roxy: A Loving Pup Looking for a Second Chance

The staff and volunteers at the Prince William County Animal Services Center can’t stop raving about Roxy: “She’s such a sweet girl,” “She’s so gentle,” and “Roxy is such a great dog!” This affectionate pup is looking for a loving family after experiencing a difficult transition.

Roxy was a cherished pet, but when her family lost their job and had to relocate out of state, they made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her. She previously lived with children—ages 4 and 12—and was great with them most of the time. However, since younger kids may struggle with boundaries and gentle touch, she would likely thrive best in a home with children aged 7 or older.

Her former family describes her as house-trained, well-behaved, friendly, and social, with a medium energy level. Roxy is loving, smart, obedient, and observant, though she does have a soft spot for table food!

Since arriving at the shelter, Roxy has impressed everyone with her polite manners and excellent leash-walking skills. She’s a calm, affectionate, and easygoing dog who would make a wonderful companion for the right family.

If you’re looking for a loyal and loving addition to your home, come meet Roxy at the Prince William County Animal Services Center, located at 14807 Bristow Road, Manassas, VA 20112.

For adoption inquiries, call (703) 792-6465 or visit www.pwcva.gov/department/animal-services to learn more about Roxy and other pets available for adoption. Give her the forever home she deserves!
