Update 3:30 p.m. – The lights are back on
Dominion Virginia Power says all 139 customers who lost power in Dumfries this morning have their electricity turned back on.
A utility pole snapped and fell into a swimming pool, causing the outage, said Dominion spokeswoman Le Ha Anderson.
A majority of the customers had their power restored by 4 a.m., while two others had to wait until 1:30 p.m. for the juice to be turned back on.
