WOODBRIDGE — Police now have a man in custody after a body was found in Woodbridge late last month.
On May 10, detectives from the Prince William police Homicide Unit arrested a suspect in connection to the death of a 23-year-old Washington D.C. man, identified as Angelo Kadro Blakeney.
The victim’s body was discovered on April 29 in the area of Minnieville Road and Alps Drive in Woodbridge. Evidence collected at the scene ultimately connected the suspect to the victim’s death.
Following the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the accused, identified as Justin Orlando Myrick, and a search warrant for his Washington, D.C home.
Prince William County detectives, with the Metropolitan Police Department found and the accused at his Northeast Washington home.
Myrick is charged with second-degree murder, and remains incarcerated in Washington D.C. and will be extradited to Virginia, according to a Prince William police spokeswoman.
