“It’s been a while since we’ve had Restaurant Week here in Historic Downtown,” said Kristen Kiefer, Executive Director of Historic Manassas Inc. “Given that February is a slow month for restaurants, we saw this as a great opportunity to bring people downtown, support our local eateries, and introduce the community to new dining experiences.”
New Restaurants Spotlight
This year’s Restaurant Week will highlight two exciting newcomers to the Manassas dining scene: Lume, an Asian fusion restaurant, and Voodoo Brothers Cajun Creole, which recently opened in the space formerly occupied by Okra’s. Both establishments bring fresh, eclectic flavors to the area and will be offering special promotions throughout the week.
“These two restaurants have added a new dimension to Historic Downtown’s culinary landscape,” said Kiefer. “Loom brings a creative take on Asian fusion, while Voodoo Brothers introduces authentic Cajun and Creole flavors.”
Mardi Gras Celebration to Cap Off the Week
As an exciting finale to Restaurant Week, Voodoo Brothers Cajun Creole will host a Mardi Gras party on March 4, bringing a festive close to the weeklong event. Attendees can expect live music, themed drinks, and a lively atmosphere celebrating New Orleans-style cuisine and culture.
“It’s a fun way to wrap up Restaurant Week and transition into First Friday celebrations,” Kiefer noted. “With Mardi Gras falling on March 4 this year, it’s the perfect opportunity to add some extra excitement to downtown.”
A Variety of Offerings for Every Palate
Each participating restaurant will provide its unique take on Restaurant Week, with some featuring prix-fixe menus, exclusive dishes, or significant discounts on fan-favorite meals. Whether diners want an upscale experience, comfort food, or something entirely new, the week promises a broad selection of flavors and price points.
“We wanted to give each restaurant the flexibility to showcase their best,” Kiefer explained. “Some will be offering new dishes, others discounts on popular items, so there’s really something for everyone.”
Bringing the Community Together
Historic Manassas Inc. hopes that Restaurant Week will catalyze increased foot traffic in downtown businesses, helping new and longstanding restaurants thrive during an otherwise slower time of year.
“We encourage everyone to come out, try something new, and support our incredible local restaurants,” Kiefer said. “It’s an opportunity to rediscover downtown and enjoy some fantastic food.”
