The story follows Coleman Shedman as he seeks to reclaim his runaway wife, Nancy, who has found refuge with the Reverend Obediah Buckhorn. As tensions rise and a dramatic snake-handling scene unfolds, the play explores humor, love, and the complexities of cult life.
