Police were called to a report of shots fired inside a house.
On Wednesday, November 25 at 6:10 p.m, officers responded to the Rivergate Apartments located in the 13100 block of Marina Way in Woodbridge to investigate shots fired call.
Residents reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area. Video surveillance footage revealed that a black man wearing all dark-colored clothing entered the stairwell area before three additional masked men, who were also wearing all black, entered the stairwell.
After a short time, the three masked men were observed fleeing on foot with one suspect carrying a firearm. No injuries were reported.
Officers collected a shell casing that was located inside the stairwell. While canvassing officers also located damage to the apartment building and to an unoccupied vehicle that was parked in the parking lot. No further suspect description is available at this time.
The investigation continues.
