8 new hospitalizations reported across Prince William, Fredericksburg regions

Here’s a look at today’s coronavirus hospitalization report.

Prince William Health District

One new hospitalization has been reported in Prince William County, an average hospitalization rate of 0.7% per 100,000 of the 465,000 people in the county.

There’s been one new report of someone from Manassas being hospitalized for the disease.

Rappahannock Area Health District

Three new hospitalizations are reported in Stafford, and two in Spotsylvania counties, one in Fredericksburg, and one in King George County, and zero for Caroline County, for a total of seven new hospitalizations in a region of about 335,000 people.

Statewide

A total of 2,544 new coronavirus cases were reported in Virginia today, with about 23 new cases reported each day over the past week. A total of 99 new hospitalizations were reported today, for a total of  1,159 people hospitalized with the disease — 70 fewer than yesterday.
