Some people might have a few choice phrases for the Prince William County Police Department.

Today, we here are Potomac Local News only have one that best describes the county police department: Ready for anything.

On the afternoon of Sunday, April 12, about 20 police cars swarmed BJ’s Wholesale Club in Woodbridge. With so many law enforcement officers converged in one place, for onlookers, it was a tense scene.

An alarm was triggered inside the big-box store telling police that a robbery, or something worse, could be occurring inside.

However, those fears were averted when police learned it was a wind that triggered the alarm, said First Sgt. Jonathan Perok.

Police cleared the scene, and no charges were filed.

BJ’s Wholesale Club is located at 14123 Noblewood Plaza in Woodbridge.
