On November 5, detectives with the Special Victim’s Unit concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at Jlo Appliances located at 7399A Old Centreville Road. in Manassas (20111) between May 2016 and February 2019.
- The investigation revealed that the victim, who was between 9-12 years of age at the time of the offenses, was sexually assaulted by the owner of the business, identified as the accused, on more than one occasion during that time frame.
- The victim recently reported the incidents prompting the police investigation. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jose Luis ORTIZ, was arrested.
