William Anthony Semrov

William “Bill” A. Semrov Jr, 79, of Dale City, passed away Sunday evening, March 24, 2019 at The Adler Center in Aldie, VA.

He was born Nov 13, 1939 in Cooperstown, NY, son of William and Christina Semrov.  He served in the United States Army for over 22 years.  While stationed in Bavaria, Germany he met his future wife Marianne.  They married in March 1964.  After retiring from the military he worked as a postal carrier for over 20 years.  Following his retirement, he became an avid walker.

He is survived by his wife Marianne, his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Judy Semrov, his daughter Angela, his sister and brother-in-law Betty and Andrew Lisiesky of Binghamton, NY, and his sister Frances Thayer of Cooperstown, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m., Monday April 1, with a service at 12 p.m. at Mountcastle Turch, Dale City.  Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Quantico National Cemetery.
