MANASSAS — (Police Press Release) On February 6, 2019, at 12:32 a.m., officers from the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 8500 block of Richmond Ave initially for a report of a prowler.
Upon further investigation, officers determined the suspected prowler, had made entry into a resident’s garage before fleeing the area. Responding officers circulated the area and located the suspect who led police on a brief foot chase before eventually being taken into custody after a minor use of force.
No injuries were reported. The suspect was later identified as Saquan Milik PAYNE, a 22-year-old resident of Manassas. PAYNE was charged with Burglary and Theft from a Motor Vehicle, and is currently being held on $5,000.00 secured bond. PAYNE is currently scheduled to appear in court on March 13, 2019.
