Burglaries and arrest for domestic assault charges in Prince William

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY – (Press Release) On February 1 at 2:15 a.m., officers responded to the Tobacco Time located at 2898 Garber Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary.

The business owner reported to police that he received an alarm activation notice at 1:40 a.m. and responded to the store. When he arrived, he discovered that the front glass door has been shattered and contacted police. Various merchandise was reported missing. Video surveillance revealed that two unknown suspects wearing all black were involved. A police K-9 searched the surrounding the area for the suspects who were not located. Photos will be released when available.

Several attempted burglaries occurred as well.

On February 1 at 4:45 a.m., officers responded to the BP service station located at 12576 Grand Targhee Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed that around 2:52 a.m., an unknown suspect attempted to break a glass door with a rock without success.  No entry was made into the business, and no property was reported missing. Minor damage was reported to the door.

Another attempted burglary took place on January 31 at the Northern Virginia Baptist Church located at 14019 Glenkirk Rd in Gainesville (20155).

Church staff reported to police that sometime between 4:00 p.m. and 4:16 p.m, four juvenile males were seen attempting to gain entry into one of the buildings on the property. The suspects fled the area on foot when a staff member attempted to confront them. No entry was made into the building, and no property was reported missing. The investigation continues.

Several arrests have been made related to sexual assault and abduction charges.

On January 31, [Redacted] was arrested following an assault and abduction investigation.

The victim, a 22-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, a family member, were involved in two separate verbal altercations on June 8 and August 20 of 2018, which escalated. During each encounter, the accused physically assaulted the victim and held her down against her will.

The accused turned [Redacted] in at the Gar-Field Station without incident on January 31.

Charged with 2 counts of abduction, 2 counts of domestic assault & battery, and 1 count of preventing the summoning of law enforcement.

In other news, on January 10, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred in the Woodbridge area (22191) of Prince William County on November 2, 2018.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 14-year-old female, was sexually assaulted by the accused, an acquaintance. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Gregory Allan Price, on January 11. The accused was located and arrested without incident in the area of Tac Ct and Wellington Rd on January 30 following a traffic stop.
