Stephen Ramlakhan, age 41 of Manassas, VA and born in Guyana passed away on February 25, 2018.
Stephen leaves behind his loving wife of 9 years, Teresa Ramlakhan. Devoted sons, Sebastian and Ronaldo. Beloved mother, Maharani Ramlakhan and preceded in death by his father, Roy Edwards. Cherished brother, Richard Ramlakhan. Adored aunts and uncles, Uraim Ramlakhan, Jeramiah Ramlakhan, Helen Ramlakhan, Alvin Ramlakhan and Seeta Ramlakhan. Best friend and mentor, Raymond Arroyo.
Stephen served in the United States Army for 18 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class and earned his commission becoming a First Lieutenant and will be promoted to Captain posthumously. Stephen not only served his country selflessly but his family and friends by being a compassionate leader both personally and professionally. Stephen was a fan of the New York Giants, Broadway performances and an avid dancer.
The family will receive friends at the Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Boulevard, Dale City, VA 22193 on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Life Celebration Service will be on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 3:00 PM located at the Worship Center located at 14000 Crown Ct., Woodbridge, Virginia 22193. An interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
