Lloyd E. “Gene” Griffin, Sr., age 79 of Bristow, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017.
Born and raised in Shelley, Idaho, a longtime resident of Virginia, he was a retired welder and former owner of Park Place Restaurant. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 3 brothers and a sister.
Survivors include daughter, DeeDee Schaeffer and her companion, Jon Knight, of Bristow; two sons, Jeff Sirk, Sr. and wife Darla of Waynesboro, PA. and Lloyd “Gene” Griffin, Jr. and his companion, Monica Castro, of Bristow, Virginia; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two brothers, Tolvin Griffin of Ashburn and Edgbert Griffin of Colorado.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October17, 2017, at Pierce Funeral Home, Manassas.
A Service will be held at 9:30 Wednesday at the funeral home with interment to follow in Little Georgetown Cemetery in The Plains.
