CSM Clarence Benjamin Taylor

Clarence Benjamin Taylor, 84, of Manassas, passed at his home on Friday, September 29, 2017, surrounded by family.

Command Sergeant Major Taylor was a 30 year veteran of the U.S. Army, who served with the famed 11th ACR (Black Horse) in Vietnam (1968-1969). He was a lifelong member of the NCOA and the AUSA. He was an avid runner and cyclist who enjoyed working on his own car, reading and talking about current events with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children; Clarence E. Taylor, Anthony Taylor, Evelyn Pearson, Monika Taylor and David Taylor; eleven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresia and his son, Michael.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:20 on Friday, October 6, 2017, at Pierce Funeral Home. Mass will follow at 10:30 at All Saints Catholic Church. Burial in Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
