The Manassas City Public Schools Education Foundation is pleased to announce that they will be holding their annual event on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Metz Middle School located at 9950 Wellington Road, Manassas, VA 20110 from 5:30- 7:30pm
This event is free and open to the public. The event will feature interactive activities such as 3-D imaging, Robotics, haircuts, and demonstrations by fire and rescue. There will be performances by the Osbourn High School Marching Band, the choirs from Jennie Dean and Round Elementary schools, and other musical performances. Minnieland Academy will be hosting a Children’s Zone which will feature face painting, sensory activities, story time, jewelry making, and writing activities. Health and Wellness Zone will feature local dentists, doctors, and other health and wellness businesses, along with sporting facilities to make staying healthy fun. There will be exhibitors from all of the Manassas City Public Schools, along with other businesses and vendors highlighting a multitude of offerings in and around the city for children and families.
The MCPS Education Foundation raises funds to enrich academic achievement through grants and scholarships. The MCPS Ed Foundation will be offering a $500.00 School Spirit Award at the event to the school that has the largest representation in attendance. Come show your school spirit and enjoy a night of family fun!
Enjoy samples of food from area restaurants such as Zandra’s, Chick-fil-A, [add more restaurants as we get them]. The highlight of the event will be three raffles at 6:30pm which include an Around Old Town Gift Basket with offerings from businesses throughout Old Town, a Family Hylton Performing Arts Package, and a Kindle XP with charger provided by Minnieland Academy.
