Maryland Woman Assaulted in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On October 15, a man was arrested for trying to assault a woman, and at one point he grabbed a knife and held it to her neck. Police say that the man initially prevented her from contacting police until she was able to get away from him.

Here’s the latest from Prince William police: 

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On October 15th at 3:04AM, officers responded to the Roadway Inn located at 13964 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, an adult woman of Maryland, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, retrieved a knife and held it to the victim’s neck. The victim was able to separate from the accused and contact police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
