Elementary School Teacher Raises Money for Breast Cancer

Ann Biczo a resident of Woodbridge is an elementary school teacher committed to finding a cure for breast cancer. After two colleagues were diagnosed with breast cancer (and both are now survivors), and her best friend’s mom is dying from breast cancer, Biczo knew she had to step in and do something.

Biczo started participated in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in 2010. The walk takes two days. Ann along with many others walk 26.2 miles on Saturday and then another 13.1 on Sunday, completing 39.3 miles or 1 1 and a half marathons. In doing this walk, Ann has committed to raise the required $1,800 and train for the walk.

Biczo has began hosting dinners around Northern Virginia. She is hosting one more fundraiser dinner event at Bob Evans on Smoketown Road across from Potomac Mills mall Woodbridge on April 5, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Biczo will be at the restaurant from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. with two raffle tickets to win a prize.
