Harbor Station to be Discussed This Week

Woodbridge, Va. — Officials plan to provide an update on the much talked about Harbor Station development along the Potomac River in Woodbridge.

The partially completed mixed-use development, which has been slow to take off in recent years due to financial hardship by the development’s owners, features a golf course designed by professional golfer Jack Nicklaus. Original plans called for a marina, hotel, and a Virginia Railway Express station in addition to large homes.

Late last year, the development was sold to a new owner.

Attorney Mike Lubeley is expected to address a meeting of the Woodbridge Potomac Communities Civic Association, which begins at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Redevelopment, land use, and neighborhood beautification will also be discussed at the meeting, according to the association’s meeting agenda.
