The man who was burned inside an old service station when it caught fire Thursday afternoon died while be treated at an area hospital’s burn unit.
The victim has been identified as 75-year-old William John Maybin, reports Patch.com.
Update 4:10 p.m.
A man living inside an abandoned gas station at 13404 Jefferson Davis Highway was burned this afternoon when it caught fire.
Fire and rescue crews were called to the old gas station about 3 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. and Gordon Boulevard.
The victim, who was flown to an area burn unit for treatment, was living inside the abandonded building, said Prince William fire and rescue Battalion Chief Joe Robertson.
There is no word yet on what caused the blaze.

Woodbridge, Va. — Fire and resuce crews have been called to the scene of a fire at U.S. 1 and Gordon Boulevard in Woodbridge, according to initial reports.
A helicopter has been called into the take a burn victim to a hospital for treatment, reports state.
