Woodbridge, Va. — After one false start, Esteban Graces will try again tonight to hold a campaign kickoff in Woodbridge.
The Democrat seeks the newly shifted 2nd House of Delegates seat encompassing portions of North Stafford and Woodbridge.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight at La Luna Restaurant at U.S. 1 and Featherstone Road.
Garces last scheduled campaign kickoff earlier this month, which was to be his first public campaign event, was abruptly cancelled due to a family emergency.
The first-time candidate faces Republican Mark Dudenhefer, Chairman of the Stafford County Board of Supervisors.
Both candidates have said they expect to do well in the district. While many of the voting precincts in North Stafford tend to lean more Republican, the majority of the precincts in Woodbridge tend to vote democratic.
