Leesylvania State Park will host a blood drive with the American Red Cross here at the Visitor Center on October 29. In order to convince the Red Cross that we can really make a difference with our event they have asked that we compile a list of at least 40 people who would be willing to donate blood.
If we can find 40 willing volunteers now they will give us the go ahead and we can start advertising the event to get the greater community involved.
Individuals who are eligible to give blood are:
- At least 17 years old
- Must weigh at least 110 lbs
- Be in good health
Remember that every donation can save up to three lives!
Please consider becoming a blood donor at our event. You will be saving lives in our community. If you are interested in being added to our interested donor list please let me know.
